Why not say, a 0-600 point scale? And while we're on the subject, why did the LSAT decide to switch to a 120-180 point scale? Anyone know if there's any rhyme or reason to any of this?

Ive read books about people who have perfect scores on the sat and they still didnt get into top schools like harvard and yale. so i was wondering if i have a chance of getting into one of these schools with about 650 on each part of the SAT (CR, MATH, WR)
They do look at other parts of the app, so do you think id have a chance ? I mean my gpa is high and i can write a good essay...

I heard that last year on the writing section of the SATs one could hold up the essay and determine what score it got solely from it's length; are they changing the scoring at all, or is it likely that the same will be true for this year's test?

I believe I got like a 440 on Math 430 in Reading and a 390 in writing....I know thats horrible but should I send my scores to colleges anyway if Im planning on taking the ACT? I know for a fact that I will do better......A college sent me an application and I dont want to put that score on there because they will think Im dumb and that was just really a bad test day for me. Should I just wait until I take the ACT to send the application back or do you think they will accept me with that score?????
p.s My high school academic record is fairly good.....speaks for itself

Hello, I got a letter saying that because my grades last year were good on one of the big tests I took last year I can take the act/sat. The test was a reading test and I am not all to good in math so I am wondering if any of you know a good website that teaches anything about ACT/SAT math. Also if you know any good books that are easy to understand and not confusing that will help to.
