Why not say, a 0-600 point scale? And while we're on the subject, why did the LSAT decide to switch to a 120-180 point scale? Anyone know if there's any rhyme or reason to any of this?

The College Board originally made it 200-800 because 500 was the average score, with above average students scoring higher than 500 and below average students scoring lower than 500. I think they also wanted the minimum to be 200 as to not "hurt anybody's feelings".
