I know what it means, but I don't think it makes any sense. Think about it. If you have a cake in front of you, then your obviously going to eat it! What good is a cake, if you can't eat it?!

Answer this only if you know the answer!!!

If you are quoting a original piece of writing that has a mistake on it, you are supposed to put something after that confusing part to let the readers know that it was originally like that. It was something like [i] but I don't remember. Please answer this quickly and accurately!!!

Grass by Carl Sandburg
Pile the bodies high at Austerlitz and Waterloo.
Shovel them under and let me work -
I am the grass; I cover all.
And pile them high at Gettysburg
And pile them high at Ypres and Verdun.
Shovel them under and let me work.
Two years, ten years, and passengers ask the conductor:
What place is this?
Where are we now?
I am the grass.
Let me work.

What are some reasons for the use of imperative verbs in Sandberg’s poem?

What’s a good phrase to say when someone says something obvious or dumb? Like if someone were to say “Oh hey, the sky is blue!” you reply with something sarcastic like “We have a winner.” Or “And circle gets the square.”

You know any more phrases like that?

This is a quote I heard from my one of my high school teachers many years ago. It is so beautiful to me, and seems to be one of the truest quotes ever. I'd love to know where it is from/who said it.

"Upon the fields of hesitation bleach the bones of those who waited."

Thanks!
