compare/contrast?

It is when you compare and contrast two or more different subjects finding similarities and differences.

Emotional: being emotional plainly

Evidence: having evidence to support your way of thinking

Humor: persuade them through laughing along with them

Testimonial: a written declaration certifying to a person's character, conduct, or qualifications, or to the value, excellence, etc., of a thing; a letter or written statement of recommendation

bandwagon: party, cause, movement, etc., that by its mass appeal or strength readily attracts many followers

plainfolks: speakers convey by "the people"

False Cause and Effect: cause and effect where nothing is proven

Persuasive Techniques?

Great Subject, I think you've got what they mean to a great extent. They seem to be self explanatory- although in a subliminal way.

the answer above is nearly flawless...

The only addition that I have to offer is to broaden the False Cause and Effect to what might be known as "specious reasoning" or a "specious argument"...

EXAMPLE

I have a rock in my living room...its to keep tigers away...
What? You don't believe me?

WELL

Do you see any tigers in my living room?

One element has nothing at all to do with the other...
You see our government using these arguments in the War in Iraq (lol)...
