It's something about how all kings come from slaves, and all slaves come from kings . . . about family, and all that. Anyone know it? Or at least know what I'm talking about?

I would really like the quote about the branch or tree. I think it's an ancient proverb from Asia.

Does anyone know any famous quote about facing the world with your head held high or where I can find one? Thank you

It has been said that "the ends always justify the means," implying that a positive result in a given situation should be achieved at any cost. Drawing upon your knowledge of historical and contemporary events, your analysis of any literary works you have read, and the experiences of your own life, please support or reject this statement.

I disagree with this quote but how can i write this essay on why i think this?

I am not looking for romantic, but more inspirational, family relationships, i.e., father/son, etc.

It starts out... We make noise on new year's to drown out the noise of grass growing on our graves.....the hour glass was honest but the clock with its circular motion deceives us into think time goes on forever, but our time does not, just as the sand in the hour glass our time runs out.

Ok i know this is kind of a stupid question but i have been trying to remember this saying for awhile. The general idea of what i am trying to say is unless you have something positive to say, dont say anything at all.

What i need to know is the exact saying is because i need to quote it.

Please and THANK YOU

MY hungry eyes through greedy couetize,
still to behold the obiect of their paine:
with no contentment can themselues suffize,
but hauing pine and hauing not complaine.

For lacking it they cannot lyfe sustayne,
and hauing it they gaze on it the more:
in their amazement lyke Narcissus vaine
whose eyes him staru'd: so plenty makes me poore

Yet are mine eyes so filled with the store
of that faire sight, that nothing else they brooke,
but lothe the things which they did like before,
and can no more endure on them to look.

All this worlds glory seemeth vayne to me,
and all their showes but shadowes sauing she.

Can someone please rephrase this quote in a more simpler form: "God and Nature do not work together in vain"

It's pretty simple, but I'm having a very terrible and frustrating thinking(?)/thinker's block right now that's preventing me from understanding that phrase. Especially now that I've read it at least 20 times over (which makes trying to understand it worse.)

Thanks in advanced to whoever provides me with good answers.
