This is a quote I heard from my one of my high school teachers many years ago. It is so beautiful to me, and seems to be one of the truest quotes ever. I'd love to know where it is from/who said it.

Good quote! I had never heard it before, and I can't find any source for it, but it is very much like something an "old salt" on the waterfront said to my husband many years ago. My husband was telling him how he was getting his sailboat ready to sail around the world, but he had so many things to do first, such as get bills paid, etc. The old salt just looked at him and said, "Sonny, if you wait til you're ready, you'll never go!"
