“You Blur sotong.” Blur meaning gong tao, meaning confused mind, meaning you’re totally stupid and clueless. Sotong means squid. Squids are stupid things who react at any one thing. Put them both together, if you’re a Blur sotong, you’re totally helpless. Go find yourself a corner and hide. Lol. Singaporeans love to be blur especially when told to step up to help with trival things like change a lightbulb or something like that in public. They’d act blur and go, “Huh? is it? Oh, I didn’t know!!!” We love to act blur. It’s a Singaporean thing.

Sotong has 8 legs and moving in all directions when it is at still... it looks like it is fumbling and doesn t know what it is doing...Hence, it is used to describe someone who is blur... "Blur like Sotong" is to illustrate someone who is as blur as a sotong...
