How do you use a quote by a fictional character and properly credit it? Do you put the character's name after or the author of the book. The quote I am trying to use is from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Professor Dumbledore says it. Do I do it like this: "It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."-Albus Dumbledore, or do I give credit to J.K. Rowling?

Who found/finds it very true?

"30 years from now no one will care about the clothes you wore, the jeans that were ripped, the shirt that was too small, the shoes that killed your feet, how much hair spray you used, the embarrassing moments you made at the dance, the mistakes you spoke in class, the car you drove, the cell phone you owned, the sports you played, the cliques you shared, the diamond on your finger, the boyfriend you had or the drama you started...the only thing that will matter is where you ended up going after high school"

"Death is a great price to pay for a red rose;
cried the Nightingale, and life is very dear to all.
It is pleasent to sit in the greenwood and to watch the sun in his charriot of gold, and the moon in her charriot of pearl. Sweet is the scent of the hawthorn, and sweet are the bluebells that hide in the valley, and the heather that blows on the hill. Yet love is better than life, and what is the heart of a bird compared to the heart of man."
Oscar Wilde (The Nightingale and the Rose)
I just love poetry...can any of you name any favorite poets, or quotes?.......

"Do I feel joy again? Methought the germ of it was dead in me! O Hester, thou are my better angel! I seem to have flung myself - sick, sin-stained, and sorrow blackened - down upon these forest leaves, and to have risen up all anew, and with the powers to glorify Him that had been merciful! This already a better life! Why did we not find it sooner?"
