It basically means that we are all the time exposed to wisdom or learning of some kind and that the process of acquiring wisdom never ends.

I like this quote very much. There are several ways to interpret it.

The mind (doors) of wisdom (learning and knowledge) are never shut (open).
Keep an open mind.
We are continually learning and from that comes wisdom.
