How do you use a quote by a fictional character and properly credit it? Do you put the character's name after or the author of the book. The quote I am trying to use is from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Professor Dumbledore says it. Do I do it like this: "It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."-Albus Dumbledore, or do I give credit to J.K. Rowling?

It depends on if you're using APA or MLA format. Try www.dianahacker.com. It's free and has info about both types of documentation.
