I've always had an interest in helping the environment and animals, as well as travelling. I know there are a lot of careers that deal with animals, but many of them involve lab work, and taking animals out of their environment (specially marine biology.)

Basically, I just love learning languages, travelling, and the environment. I want to have some clear idea before I become a senior and go to college. I want to major in International relations, too.

Should I like start practicing stuff such as math and science and other things for 7th grade, or should I just wait and practice while im officially in school? I don't know what to study, so should I refresh my mind or not? because I forgot about like everything this year, and remember like the basics.

I'm about to be a freshman at high school and though I'm not quite certain what career path I want to take, I really do want to land a good college.

I'm fairly certain I'll do well enough academically. What I feel I lack is a list of extracurricular activities. I'm not involved in anything, and the only interests I truly have are writing, web design, and graphic art (Photoshop). I don't see how those could count as extracurricular unless I make a good use of them (which I'm not sure how to do).

I was thinking of trying to get some writing published, but again, I don't see how I can realisitically do that. Where should I begin?

My family's going to India next summer - perhaps I could participate in community service there for a wider purpose - there certainly is a larger need there than here. Thoughts? Ideas?

Certain words are being banned as they say children feel disconcerted. They say now that a child has not "failed" a test or exam and now clever is not to be used as children will feel that they are stupid. I cannot understand this. Life is full of disappointments and sometimes you may not be the cleverest or may fail at something. e.g. when you go for an interview you may fail to get the job, doesnt mean you are worthless it simply means you are not the best for the job.

This spoon feeding and all these euphemisms we are using is making our kids soft and more disrespectful. They will never learn that you cannot always get what you want in life and you have to work hard to achieve what you want.
