I'm a teacher in a school, not a student, but my impression is that 10th grade is easier. In the 9th grade, kids are adapting to a new school, trying to find their way around, getting used to high school work, etc. By 10th grade, they are more confident about themselves and what they are doing. In fact, this may be the easiest year. By 11th grade, they are getting real worried about whether they are doing well enough to get into college and the courses seem much more challenging. In 12th grade, they are frantically applying to college, but once they get their college acceptance letters, they are mentally out of there, just doing enough to make it through to graduation.

10th grade, 9th grade you're a freshman and trying to get the hang of how things work. By 10th you're all good. And no, I went to Tehachapi High School

Tenth grade. It is scarey for some people in 9th grade because everything seems to be new and you want to fit in. By 10th grade, you are no longer the new kid on the block and know who your friends are too.

Im alrady out of high school but I would have to say 10th grade is better because ur more comfortable with ur surrondings and by now uve prob made more friends.

10th, because in 9th your getting used to everything and being looked down upon. But as you move up things get easier you know where everything is, you know who's who, and all the teachers so life is a lot easier which makes it a lot funner.

I dont go to that school or never have, but 10th grade is way more fun and easier because you arent a froshy anymore!

No, but in my experience, 10th is far better. It's the last year you have that's really free. After that, things start to get a lot more stressful. Enjoy it while it lasts!

10th grade was better for me...
I went through alot of physical and emotional changes in 9th. Oh yeah, and you're not a fish anymore.

mine was 10th grade. I felt intimidated my first yr in HS because i didnt know where everything was and how highschool grounds were diff from jr high. 10th grade was much more easier and enjoyable
