It is a stupid question, and the answer is no. Most senior guys ask underclass folks to join them to the Prom. That makes it not just for seniors. I think this practice is stupid, but that is why I am not the Prom Police.

It probably depends on your school. When I was in highschool (4 yrs. ago) prom was for Seniors and Juniors. The Junior class had to set prom up for the seniors, but they could also attend. If you were a freshmen or sophmore you could go, but only if you were a junior or seniors date. If your date was from another school or already graduated and under 21, the school just had to approve the person.

No, some high schools have both junior and senior proms. Also, the student is usually allowed to bring whoever they want as their date.
