Preschool

I have a 4 year old son who is having some speech problems but he has been evaluated for speech but does not need it. Are there any excersizes I can do or things I can show him to help? His biggest problems are with the "R" "L" "TH" He is also dropping off the second half of words and slurring words together.

Next quarter I will be taking my Internship as I have listed above my theme is Citrus Fruits. I need some websites,stores or some good information where I can find information on this theme. Things that I will be needing include: books, bulletin board set, puppet, pictures, mobiles, manipulatives, puzzles, dramatic play area set up Activites: Health, Safety, and Nutrition, Math, Science, Social Studies,Large Muscle(Gross Motor)-outside, Small Muscle (Fine Motor), Language Arts, Literacy, Art/Woodworking, Music/Movement, Mulitcultural.

I will be returning to work Monday to Friday 9am till 2pm and will be placing my 15mth old son in preschool (or getting a home carer). We are working on the letter "U" next week. I try to come up with easy craft ideas for the children. Do you have any ideas? I have umbrella(rainy day picture), under the sea(finger paint picture),and U.S.A flag picture. I really wanted something other than coloring, but that is all I could find.

I have a BFA degree in Art & Technology. I would like to open a preschool/child day care center in the future. I know the licensing is different depending on the state..But where ever I decide to open the center, is it neccessary to have a MA in Early Childhood Development/Education? Will AA or BA in Early Childhood Development/Education or just a certificate in Early Childhood enough to open up a preschool/child day care center?

i am a lot worried in deciding abt putting my 21/2 year old sonin a montessori.now he is going to normal preschool and he is enjoying there, even if he goes for two days a week.do i have to change him to montessori for sending him to school for 5 days a week.i know that montessori bring out the kids more academicaly well, but do they have fun there, do they do all kinds of arts and crafts stuff.or will montessori will be to much for 2 yr and 9 month old. can somebody help?

At the end of each school year we have a end of the year program we display art work the children have created and they usually sing songs. We have in the past done nursery ryhmes, color word songs, number word songs, spring and summer songs and end with a song just for the graduating class. I would just like some new and creative ideas to do with the children I try to make it diffrent each year.

I am a preschool teacher and I had a parent complain about me singing a song with 9 planets during circle time. What do people think about changing a planet song with 4 year olds, I think it is silly to expect a 4 year old to understand that pluto used to be a planet but not any more..Any suggestions
