I never had to prove age, is there any other way to set up my step daughters free email and to let me gain access to on line chats too.

A free email doesn't require payment, so I don't understand what yu mean about pre-paid cards.

If you need to gain access to online chats, then you just need the password, but if you are spying on her, then that's a whole different story, don't make her an account if you think she can't handle it.

On the other hand, if you want to use it yourself, you can just make a free email.

Your question is very confusing.

free accounts shouldn't cost but i tried to set my daughter up an account and they want the card to verify that a parent is making the account or knows that the account is open they say it's for security

if your trust her and really trust her

make one in your spouses name or yours and let her pick her own email address and pass word just have the setting where you can look at the history to see if she might be going some where she shouldn't keep a small note pad and have her to put all of her user name and pass words in it so you can check up if need be but this would be very helpful information any way to keep handy

some websites want to make sure that the childs parent/ s know that they have an email account. they just want the parents credit card # to make sure they are 18 or have the permission of their parents. they shouldnt be charging you anything for a free email account... but if your still having issues i would try gmail because they dont ask for a credit card # at all

I wasn't aware that you have to have a credit card # to set up an email account. My child didn't need that.
