At age 5-6 she was a house servant. She made 19 trips south and escorted over 300 slaves to freedom, including her sister,parents and sisters children. In Troy, NY, she helped a fugitive slave. During the Civil War, she worked for the Union as a cook, nurse and a spy. So total she was a house servant. 2 she helped free slaves, 3 she was a cook, 4,a nurse. 5 a spy.
