Hi everyone,

I'm trying to make a decision between preschool and montessori for my child. He's only 1 but would like to enroll him in a half day program when he is 2. I hear good things about montessori schools but am wondering if it really is better than preschool or are they different but equal. Really what is the difference between the 2? Any advise and suggestion would be good.

I want to know where I can find a full detailed list of circumstances that would disqualify a existing member of staff from working with preschool aged children. Have tried ofsted website lists but not managed to find their 'full list' that they say is available. Anyone got any advice?

I am 6 months pregnant and a learner`s permit,I can`t practice now for driving, and my husband remains very busy,my son,26 months old hasn`t started speaking yet,so I want to introduce him with other kids of his own age plus he feels bored at home.
Is there any local or private agency that can provide pick `n drop in a reasonable price,I am willing to pay,I `ll also go with my son to childcare and remain with him as he don`t leave me for a while and I don`t want to scare him....thanks

Is it the teacher's job to cover her classroom or should the director schedule for a sub? Should teachers be denied time off if the center can't provide a sub?

I need to know the yearly wages that a Georgia pre-K teacher makes... if you have a resource, that would be great too.

I had previously posted this question, then closed it too early not knowing what I was doing. I'm placing my child in a preschool program that will teach him in Spanish for half the day. I don't speak Spanish. How can I support what he learns at school at home?

Does anyone know of a toystore or toy manufacturer that sells such a thing? It cannot be made of glass, has to be very highly polished stainless steel or some other metal that cannot break but reflects a face as well as a glass mirror does.

Any ideas?
