Call your local elementary school and social service agencies. They may be able to make recommendations or guide you to an information agency. Also check with local churches. Many of them have preschool programs. Check thoroughly into any program in which you are interested. Be sure they have a substantial curriculum, follow state staff/child ratio guidelines, and have some sort of accreditation and appropriate licensing. Try to observe a class in progress to be sure they meet with your expectations. And be prepared to volunteer a little time in the classroom. An involved parent makes all the difference in a child's education.
