Call your local elementary school and social service agencies. They may have lists and recommendations for you. For the center you are wondering about, visit during class time so that you can see what sort of experiences the children are receiving. Ask about the center's license, and what credentials the staff members have. Ask what the curriculum is and what the daily schedule is for the children. Ask what the staff/child ratio is. And plan to volunteer a little time so that you can see what your child is experiencing. Also, an involved parent is always a plus in a child's education! Good luck in your search.
