Has anyone taken their child there? Do you like it? Why or why not?

We live in So Cal & my son who is now 25 months has been at the local Tutor Time since he was 4 months old. I took a couple months off this spring and he was itching to go back to class. They have structured daily routines to include reading, art, free play & outside play time. I find comfort in the fact that he enjoys the classroom and teachers.

Be sure to visit a few centers and then decide which one you are most comfortable with before enrolling.

Check with your local elementary school and social service agencies. They may be able to give you some information on this particular program. They may have other programs listed, too, which you may want to check out. Visit the centers you are interested in. Ask what curriculum they use, and what the children's daily schedule is. Make sure they include time for outdoor play, and rest time. Ask what their credentials are as a program and what sort of credentials the teachers have. Try to visit classrooms with children engaging in typical activities, and ask what the staff/child ratio is. When you have chosen a program, plan to visit from time to time so you can see what your child experiences there. An involved parent is always a plus in a child's educational experience!
