Something like wander, but wandering is walking without destination. The word I'm trying to remember means walking actually being the objective.
It's something like stroll, but it was another word.

Hey. I am an 8th grader and next year I will go to High School. I am going to take an exam to see if I can be admitted to a really nice highschool..but it is in a not so good neighborhood. im scared for change and im also scared on how i will get home. i live kind of close but in order to get home i need to cross a really big busy road. i will refuse to do that. But can sum1 ease my worries about high school and on how to get home???? (My parents are busy at work...and sometimez can pick me up)Thank u!

I'm in a debate, and the current topic is "Should the school day be extended by 2 hours (to match the workday)? Why or why not?


I have to argue for the side that it Should be extended. The only reason I can find for this is that, firstly, it'll increase test scores.
Also, it'll help us keep pace with other, smarter, countries that already have 8-hour school days.

I need points about why it should be extended. Please don't give me reasons why you think it shouldn't.

I would like to know why it would be better to start school at 9 am and end it at 4 pm, then it is to have school at 8 am and end it at 3pm. Reasons? Statistics? Scientifically why?

Do anyone know a good education website for Pre-K through 8th grade.I am not happy with the CPS(Chicago Public School).My kids school is not up to part.This will be my kids last year in a public school.In the mean time I want to work with them at home on the internet.I have a son who would be taking the ISAT test for the first time.He's in 3rd grade.I want to prepare him for the test.

I had an appointment with the Director to discuss homeschooling for my son. I explained to him what has been going on at school(more info on another question of mine about the school system) my repeated calls, going to school, and getting no one to discuss my son's education. He said that my son could be transferred to an alternate school. Then I told him the assistant principal said there was nothing he could do for my son because he will be 17 this month and no other options available for him. The Director said he could override the decision the school makes. Finally, something is being done.
But, as I was leaving, I heard 3 other mothers talking about the same school and the same assistant principal. They were waiting to see the Director about their kids and the assisant principal told them the same thing that there was nothing to do for them because they were 16 or older. There is something definiately wrong with this assisant principal and the school.
