What training is involved to become a TV producer? Links would be great!

i know alot of people who have worked on movies and tv, what is helpful, is to start at a station or studio and intern and learn all u can and hopefully work your way up. It's not an easy road, but if it is somethign you want you can work for it and do it!
I know with big stations in LA and studios, they (usually) only hire and promote from within the company OR hire friends/family.

Also, if you don't live close to any of the "major" tv cities, check your local community college to see if they have a cable ascess program that you can start at to understand basics of how a tv station and stuff works, even if they are little community shows, i would assume that producing a show for cable acess would be the same process, on a smaller scale of course, than say a show like 24. or of that caliber
