i was wondering what some native american features were. like there looks, and apperence stuff they have other races don't have. and what are some small things you might have if most of your fathers family was native american. my dads like 1/8 more than that.

The high school I attend is an all Gifted and Talented school (that is, there aren't levels of difficulty for classes beyond Pre-AP and AP) that advertises its classes as being discussion-based and encouraging critical thinking. We just got a new English teacher for the juniors and we were all very excited because she had assigned lots of good literature to read over the school year. Now that we're almost six weeks into the school year, it's turned out that instead of discussing the books we're reading in class, we are doing endless grammar worksheets and prep work for the AP test-which is in May. I know the AP is important, but is it really necessary to be working on it so much in September? Also, it seems like a waste to be reading The Color Purple, Dances With Wolves, The Scarlet Letter, Their Eyes Were Watching God, and so many other great novels when all we do with them is read and then take a multiple choice test. Should we approach the teacher about this or let it be?

This has been a pattern for many years. He hates it! He does not want to do the work. We have had him tested, in therapy, public & private school, grounded, taken everything away, paid him for good grades & other incentives. He's a freshman now & hates it! He gives me a hard time, attitude etc. I can't take this for 4 more years - any ideas? We have a good family life, his Dad is very involved with him also, they surf together. Our daughter does not have these problems, she's in jr. high. Any ideas?? Help.

Soon ill graduate and the question of life after that truly scares me. I almost want to give up and go join the army. My GPA is only 1.68. But in truth i think my courses are bull, ive passed and been commended on every state test ive ever taken and as a sopomore on my PSAT i recieved 1400. I dont know why but it seems like college isnt my best option... Ive considered the marines... Help?

while cop2 is looking at a brochure of a beach.

cop1 :I don't see how being out in the open is effective surveillance.
cop2 :I don't know. What do you think?
cop1 :A beach is beach
cop2 :Not mine. My beach is somewhere in Rio.

I don't understand whole conversation, especially why cop1 says
