n=6.

Multiply both sides by n
n*(2/n)=n*(n/18)

Simplify, and the n's on the left side divide out
2=n*n/18

Multiply both sides by 18
18*(2)=18*(n*n/18)

Simplify and the 18's on the right side divide out
36=n*n

Take sqare root of both sides
sqrt(36)=sqrt(n*n)

Simplify
6=n

Note: the square root of 36 can also be -6 so your answer could be plus or minus 6. The standard is to use the positive root only for the square root, but its just habit for simplification not a requirement.

cross multiply. u get n to the power of 2 and 18 times 2, which is 36. thus, square root of 36 is 6. 6 is the answer. :)

The answer is positive or negative 6. Trust me on this one. I'm a physics major and math minor student.
