Iknow what you’re thinking: That’s rich, asking an adman to define truth.
Advertising people aren’t known either for their wisdom or their morals,
so it’s hard to see why an adman is the right person for this assignment.
Well, it’s just common sense—like asking an alcoholic about sobriety, or a
sinner about piety.° Who is likely to be more obsessively attentive to a subject
than the transgressor?°

Whe you are asked what the impact is, it is asking how that particular thing has effected another. In your case, for example, if an essay starts off offending the reader, the reader may not be able to be objective when reading the essay. The offensive introduction caused the reader to close his mind. That would be an example of an impact caused by an introduction.
If you understand, say ok.
Allright, it would still be difficult to be specific. The only way you can understand the impact is to be able to read the essay. That is an introduction, but the part that is need in order to answer the question is the the essay itself. I'm not suggesting to you to type it out, but from my answer, can you figure how this introduction can have impact?
