I have to write a literary essay on Shakespeares use of metaphors in developing the comparison between aging and nature in "That time of year..." There are 3 specific metaphors I need to identify, but I am not sure where the metaphors are. Can you please help me identify those to I can write my paper.

Here's the start of it: Marcia sat quietly in her seat, in a totally different world then the one with her teacher speaking monkey from the textbook. Suddenly, she tuned back in and looked down at her own copy of the textbook. Something her teacher had said made no sense.

I'm doing a research paper, and my topic is predicting the next dark age.
My points are strong, but my thesis is weak. I need help coming up with a strong thesis. Thesis should include the following information:
the world's once most powerful countries - United States & Russia falling through into an economical, social, intellectual, and technological decline. what i'm using to argue my point:
immigration, exports/imports, technological advances, drug use, education being "dumbed down", teenage pregnancies, comparison to the fall of the Roman Empire, national debt.

My English class is having debates. My team of three is debating con animal testing. We have our main points and pictures but we need more. The other team is out to get me. When I was younger and I was raised in a very conservative Christian family, typically, I tried to rebel against what I was told. The harder they told me I had to be this person, the harder I would rebel. Going to a Christian school a liberal point of view just wasn’t excepted. I would bring up evolution in science class, and even brought up the possibility God didn’t exist in Bible class. I soon realized that in most incidents I was doing this just to be a rebel. I didn’t have any sense of what I really believed in.

For my honors english class we have to do a research paper on a book that made an impact on American culture from 1865-2007. It can be a biograpy or autobiograpy. It can't be a play, The Great Gatsby, or The Scarlet letter. I really have no idea what to do it on.
