1) 1000 mL is equal to 1 L... so an mL is 1/1000 of a liter...
let me give u a technique... in the metric system.. the order is this: mL, dL, cL, L, daL, hL, kL... to convert... u wud just count...
let's say, convert 1 L to mL.. just count... so from L.. we will cross cL, dL then mL.. We will cross 3 all in all... so we woulnd move the dec point 3 times to the ryt... so from 1... wen u move the dec pt. 3 places to the ryt... it wud be1000.. so 1L is equal to 1000mL.. wen u convert from lower unit to higher unit, move the dec point to the left..

2) 1 dm is equal to 1/10 m... u can use the technique in did problem too.. from dec., we would cross m... so we would cross 1 unit... but the unit m is higher that the unit decimeter.. so move the dec pt. 1 place to the left.. 1 dm is equal to 0.1m

3) 1kg... convert 1 l to ml... 1000 mL 1000mL=1000 g 1000g.. convert to kg is 1 kg..

hope this will help..

okay, milli means 1/1000, so a milliliter is 1/1000 of a liter.

deci means 1/10 so a decimeter is 1/10 of a meter.

okay, for the third, you've got the answer there, 1 mililiter is 1/1000 of a liter, right, so there are a 1000 of them in a liter. So if 1 mililiter weighs 1 gram, then 1 liter is going to weigh 1000 times that because it's 1000 times bigger. So, 1 liter weighs 1000 grams.

Now, you remember that kilo means 1000. Therefore, the 1000 grams that a liter weigh is the same as 1 kilogram.

If you don't understand that, you're going to be screwed if you try to live in Europe.

there are 1000 mililiters in a liter, so 1/1000

there are 10 decimeters in a meter, so 1/10

1 gram = 1 mililiter, so 1000grams = 1000 mililiters
1000 mililiters = 1 liter, and 1000 grams = 1 kilogram
so 1 kilogram=1liter
