Here's the start of it: Marcia sat quietly in her seat, in a totally different world then the one with her teacher speaking monkey from the textbook. Suddenly, she tuned back in and looked down at her own copy of the textbook. Something her teacher had said made no sense.
Thanks :)

Your original sentence:
Marcia sat quietly in her seat, in a totally different world then the one with her teacher speaking monkey from the textbook. (This first sentence is not a run on, but it is so long that it gets confusing)
Suddenly, she tuned back in and looked down at her own copy of the textbook (saying textbook again sounds redundant and unnecessary. We already know what you’re talking about). Something her teacher had said made no sense. (In this last sentence there is a little bit of confusion in the way it is structured. It would make more sense if you switched it around a little).

Corrected sentence
Marcia sat quietly in her seat; she was in a totally different world than the one where her teacher was reading monkey from the textbook. Suddenly she tuned back in and looked down at her own copy. Nothing her teacher had said made any sense.

Marcia sat quietly, day-dreaming in her seat. She was in a completely different world than the one that was occuring before her. Her teacher stood at the head of the classroom speaking some foreign language from some textbook. Blinking, she glanced back to her own textbook, as complex as the words she was hearing. Something about the sun outside, the complicated words in her book, and the boring tone of her teacher made her want to be out there and not in here.

anyway, if you hate it, im sorry, but i figured it'd be an option.

in a totally different world THAN the one

her teacher speaking monkey from the textbook - this makes no sense - her teacher reading in a monotone from the textbook?
