In some animals groups, one individual is usually the dominant. Members of the group show submissive behavior toward the dominant individual. Some examples are Lions, there is one dominant and others show submission. Wolves are another example. This behavior help stop aggressive behavior from dominant animal. Young animals also show submissive behaviors to older animals (dominant, parents).
