I am in eighth grade, and I need some cool ideas for a science project. Can you help me out? Thank you! =)

im also in 8th grade and have to write a paper for science and i got to do it on w/e so i picked what prescription pills do to your body, i could even give you all the info i got and what books are and all that kinda stuf :)

Well... (plug your ears, animal rights activists) lol... My friend and I did an experiment in 8th grade where we shaved 2 hamsters and saw how chemically enhanced and 100% natural foods effected hair growth...

It was actually very interesting... at the end of a 30 day period, the hamster with chemically enhanced food had about 3x the hair of the other one... lol.

well..I don't know what kind of chem, bio or whatever they teach you in eight grade. I don't know...you may try
1. making popsicles with liquid nitrogen (you can search online) and explain the really really low boiling point for liquid nitrogen. (ask your teacher for help...don't touch it!)
2. the typical volcano
3. calorimetry...
4. pH

is your tap water safe? how does your city treat it for consumption? where does it come from? whats in it?
not sure how you would test for metals or chlorine and such but its the first idea for project that popped in my head. good luck

i think the (1) "genes" is the best because it is really intresting
and search about this man "Gregor Nendel" which they called him "the father of genes" or (2) energy
