I am writing a paper for a class and I was need to use APA format. I haven't ever used APA and didn't know whether you have to just follow the formatting guidelines (margins, header, etc.) or a specific format in which to write (hypothesis, research, results, etc.). I'm not writing a "research" paper rather a topic justification paper on a research topic, if that makes sense.

Thanks!

I use apa format all the time in my college courses. There is a standard layout and it is very easy to use once you remember it...here is a site that should help you out. I refer back to this all the time.

us the APA manual or seek out some type of APA style online. Sounds like your professor is getting you ready for a harder assignment and wants you to get a "taste" of what APA is
