I am tired of uneducated people saying that homeschoolers are behind academically and socially.
I know a few kids that have homeschooled and they are great kids.
I also know a ton of kids in school that are failing in school, doing drugs/drinking, getting in to all kinds of trouble and yes those that are socially retarded.

I would just like to here from parents or homeschoolers present or past would like to share. Thanks

I am trying to look ahead my son is in the 7th grade this year. We do not have the connections academy in our state. I would like a high school program that is delivered through the internet, either through computer interaction that he can get credit for and graduate with a high school diploma.

My ex-wife is having my daughter homeschooled. She's 9 yrs old and I'm being told she is in between 3rd and 4th grade...going on 5th??? Obviously the homeschooling is not working...if anything my child is severely behind. Can anyone give me advice as to how I can put a stop to this. I've researched websites and it seems that homeschoolers have so many rights. What about my rights as the other parent.

Can you recommend a good program either dvd or cd that would be good for a 5 year old to learn spanish--looking for something more than the basics that are taught by Dora LOL we are looking for conversational but for a child.

We are thinking of trying Hebrew this year. Have you used this program? Was it worth the money? What language did you learn? Do you recommend it?

I'm thinking about starting up homeschooling again but I have no idea how to start up again. If anyone could tell me good websites where I can find good homeschooling products or curriculums that would be great because right now i'm not really sure what to do. I'm in 11th grade now and i'm planning on taking a few advanced placement classes (AP english, AP american history, and AP chemistry). Also if possible I would like it to have something with journalism but if not, i'll live. Thanks to anyone that can help.

I'm stressed..so I shall tell you why:

I'm 15. This year I decided to homeschool in order to skip a grade, my problem is I haven't and CAN'T finish the courses by the time school starts. So I called the board of education and they are going to give me until September 30th to get as much done, so I can get credit and such and then from there they will let me know if I can come into the school or not. I'm just really stressed out because, I have so much work, so little time, my friends waiting for me (I wasn't in school last year, so they haven't seen me for a year) and with all this happening Septmber 15th is my 16th birthday..and all I want is to not worry about everything..I seriously thinkI'm greying..lol And I don't want to hear "Honey, you ain't seen stress yet" Because I have jsut stated that I am 15, and this is stressful for me...I just want to get this over with! So my question is how can I get this work done by that time? Just wondering...thanks a bunch :D
