The Red Tent is an amazing historical novel about Dinah, the sister of Joseph. Her story is briefly told in Genesis 34 - an absolutely stunning story, which the Red Tent ties to Jacob, their father, changing his name. It gives insight, too, into those brothers who threw Joseph in a pit.

Interestingly, Joseph also appears in the Koran, same story, so you might want to check that out, too.

I like how Joseph is presented in the bible - he is always looking for a way to make the best of a bad situation. They way he toys with his brothers when they are hungry is quite amazing, too.
