may sound silly, i sit with a group of girls in college around my age or younger (im 23) and most of them have children. i do get on with them but sometimes feel i have nothing to contribute to their conversations because all they talk about is kids and pregnancy and i myself have no kids. is it silly to feel left out ?

I will be shortly going to study a Diploma course. Afterwards I was planning on going to study primary teaching (1year fast track) Anyway, I told the master of primary teaching I was going to study a diploma and i was wishing to go onto her course afterwards.She then said, If i recieve a degree at my course, I can study PT but if i dont, then i cant.

How can i recieve a degree if im studying a diploma. Im totally confused?

I have just started my third OU course - A210 (approaching literature). Its a bit hard to get going again after the summer break. I love the idea of becoming an engineer cause im great with math and love science and physics and all that kind of stuff. but im hung up on what type I should do, any help would be great. my uncle keeps telling me i should get into biomedical because its the wave of the future. I love computers, and things I can see and build with my own hands. The theoritical world is intresting as well. I would love to be involved in some cool research and be reading about myself in popular science someday but I dont know what kind of engineering to get into, the main ones im looking at are, biomedical, mechanical, electrical, aerospace, and maybe computer(prob not). Any helpful tips that would make it easier for my decision would be awesome.
