I really want to apply to the Irish Studies program at Boston College. Considering it is one of a kind I'm not sure if it is extremely competitive or there is only one program for a reason (no interest). I have a 3.39 GPA, 1110 GRE with a 5 on my writing, and pretty good letters of reference. However I only have limited research experience. Please let me know if you could help me with this question. Thanks!

I am a high school senior considering Ohio University, Depauw University, Miami (Ohio), Northwestern and Syracuse. I kind of want to stay within five hours or less of home (Columbus, Oh). What do you think?

I think I know how to do this I just want to make sure. This is the question: "Find the points on the curve y=(x-1)/(x+2) whose tangents are parallel to the line y=3x+7. What is throwing me off is the parallel line. But here's what I think I do: 1.) I find the derivative of y=(x-1)/(x+2) which would be 1. Then I'm not sure where to go from there. Not looking for a solution to the problem but more of an outline of how I would approach similar problems of this nature.

do my homework but I can't seem to buckle down and do it. I find every excuse. I'm tired now. I have to run this errand first. Let me call so-and-so first. I have a full-time job and the only time I have to do home work is at x time. When x time comes I don't feel like it and it doesn't get done. Now I'm behind in all my classes. I want to pass my classes. I want a degree. I don't want to make $8/hr for the rest of my life. I love to learn. I just hate doing homework. I know nobody can do it but me but does anybody have anything to say that might help?
