I'm 23 and I've decided to go back to college after 4 years of graduating high school. To tell you the truth I'm still really scared to go back, especially since I'm not sure what to study yet.
I live in a country where you go and study your career, not like in the US where you minor and major.

I'm also scared since I've never been a "social butterfly" I'm the kind of girl who sits in the front, and rarely talks to someone for more than 10 minutes. I stay my weekends sitting before a computer all afternoon. I've also never have had friends and neither a boyfriend.
I find it difficult to keep a conversation with someone.
Do you guys have any advice on how to make friends, "real" friends.
I'm blonde, thin, green eyes; I don't know what's wrong with me.
I just find it so hard to socialize, I'm afraid I'll go through college doing team work by myself.

I'm chosing graphic design, I'm so scared, since that career is full! But I want a career that allows me to work independently

Hello! I currently have a BS in Communications with an emphasis in broadcast journalism. I fell into this major, and got to a point where it would be easier to finish said degree as opposed to starting over. I hate to consider going back and getting a second Bachelors, so I was looking at a Master's degree option. But, I would like to consider studying something other than communications. Can I pursue a Master's degree in something totally unrelated to communications, or am I locked into this particular area? I have yet to seriously begin investigating this option yet, so please pardon my ignorance.

I am done with my masters and I need to know if I can complete a PhD in 2 years if I rush against time, is it a possibility at all? I will start my courses this fall (06) and is their any chance I can finish by summer of 2008. Is their a technical limitation on the minimum number of years you have to enrol in a doctoral program before graduating?
