here's 3 step method i learned...i think it's very good.

first a few rules to keep in mind- don't say things like "u r ____", no name-calling...in general try to stay away from using u unless u need to point out an action that person did. when u use u, it puts the other person into defense mode & u sound more accusational. u want to make it more like a discussion, rather than trying to fling insults/accusations at each other. it also helps if u clearly understand what exactly bothered u.

1) start with describing the situation. "...about the other day when we were talking about ___" "i think we had a misunderstanding about the ____"

2) describe ur feelings..."i was upset when u said that, because _____" "i felt offended by ur statement, because it implied ___"
"i was feeling down and confused, so i ___"

3) state what u would like to happen. "i'm hoping u would understand my side better and we could try ____"

Confront conflict with an open mind.Dont have any fixed notion.Be relaxed and cool when trying to solve conflict as it helps in thinking rationale and take correct decisions.Never run away from conflict and instead face it with courage.be a good listener.Listen carefully to what the other person has to say.Half the problem is solved if you listen patiently as the other person is just venting out his feeling and he will definitely cool down once he pours out his feelings. He will infact will be your good friend.Try to solve the conflict by yourself as far as possible. In case it gets really serious get a good mediator.

The best way to solve a conflict is by force. After all it is a conflict and it started from a bad reason for a bad reason, so you end it with a bad way. Just like Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
