For example, some people can catch on in math quicker than other people. If everyone's brain function the same way; why can't everyone use it to learn the same way? Also many people like myself try very hard to learn in math, but it feels impossible. {I wonder can people get a mental block}.Could it be the teaching? Are the teachers moving to fast which makes it harder for kids who learn at a slower paste to learn?

I am considering majoring in history or english or both, and was curious if anyone knew of any jobs that deal with those majors that aren't teaching. I wouldn't mind teaching I'm just curious as to if there are any out there. Any opinions are appreciated.

There are so many colleges out there that offer degrees online. How can you find out if one has a valid accreditation? No one wants a degree that won't be recognized in the real world! Is there a national database somewhere that can be used to check out a school?

... and about disparity in salaries between administrators and ordinary faculty members?

What about an e-mail campaign to oust a president, dean, or another high-level university official responsible for decisions that adversely affect faculty or an identifiable category of university employees, such as clerical staff, or members of a particular college or department? Assuming such grievances and related advocacy fall under the umbrella of academic freedom and shared governance, how do faculty members or other emplyees who join such an effort protect themselves against retaliation in the absence of anonymity?

Are there any cases from which lessons can be learned?
