You mentioned in another post that you graduated from a university in Iraq. It is highly unlikely that your Ph.D will be taken at face value in the USA. You may have to re-do large portions of the degree and/or take equivalency exams, at your own expense. You will also have to prove you speak English at a level sufficient to work in an academic environment, and from your posts I can see that you do not have the essential building blocks of English grammar.

Now, assuming that there was a miracle and your qualifications were somehow accepted by the US government, if you were to work as a full professor (not an assistant professor) you would be earning in the range of $100,000 annually (this is near the national average, taking into account type of university and location).

Keep on dreaming!

The two most likely places that will have this answer are The Chronicle of Higher Education and/or Academe, the publication of the American Association of University Professors. My guess would be between $55K - $150K depending on your rank (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor) and what kind of grant money you are able to secure after receiving a university appointment.

If you're a full professor, then I would think certainly over $100K. But I'm not an academic in the sciences, so I can't say for sure. A lot will depend, as you probably know, on the type of university. If you're at a Big Ten or Ivy League research institution, then you'll make well over $100K. Other universities will probably pay just around the $100K figure.
