My university is currently migrating to Banner, and sometimes it seems like we have stepped back in time 50 years. Instead of better, faster, and easier, every task seems to take twice (at least) as long, and sometimes the "rules" change on a daily basis.

For those who have been involved in a Banner "makeover," was the transition difficult for you? Does it get better? If so, WHEN????

Is anyone a member of NSSLHA either on a national or local level. What does your chapter do. Do you have any good fundraising ideas or service events that you promote. How many members do you have and how active would you rate your chapter?

I live in Houston, and want to go to school in Austin, which is a notoriously liberal city, much more so than anywhere else in Texas. Do you think that is wise, since I know I will be accepted to UT and there is nothing wrong with them besides the fact that they're HUGE?

I got accepted into an expensive college. I got financial aid, but I would still have to pay $30,000 for the entire 4 years. My best friend is going there and living in the dorms and it is my hearts desire to go with her and be her roommate.
My other option would be just to go to my community college where I would pay nothing. I would have to live at home.I need advise please!

I have a family of five and cannot afford to lose my income, yet I would like to complete my education with a degree, and possibly teacher's college. Evening course are of limited availablility, and if I expect to keep my current job, day classes are not an option. How can I possibly manage to still provide for my family and go back to school? I live in Canada, and work 8 - 4, Mon - Fri, in Information Services.
