Definitely check the Princeton Review or College Board sites for lists of schools. I happen to work at a small college on Long Island, NY called Five Towns College that has excellent music programs. It's also easier to be admitted here than to a school like Julliard. Check out our website at www.ftc.edu. We've got some really talented students here along with some great professors!

Surprisingly, the University of Cincinnati (Cincinnati, OH) has a great musical school called the College-Conservatory of Music. CCM is the largest single source of performing arts presentations in the state of Ohio. They have dance, acting, vocals, and instrumental majors. It's a lot easier to get into and cheaper than a school like Juliard, but it's is still top notch. Plus Cincinnati is a great city. The people are all really friendly, we have great sports teams, and there is a lot to do around town. The college is really diverse, gives out a lot of financial aid, and is really expanding to become a great school all around.
