I went to google and typed in stafford loan and the first link was for www.staffordloan.com. I went through the promts to appy and when I called the school to check the status of the application, they had no records of it, and she was asking did it ask for a lender and It DID NOT......
Did I use the correct website?
If not what is the website to appy for a subsidized or unsubsidized staffor loan???
or....
If it was the correct website, how do I find out the status of the loan??

I've graduated from a business school back in July '05 and I have been having the hardest time paying back my student loans with Sallie Mae. I recently heard that there were government assistance programs that can help graduates repay their money or even payment relief options. Can anyone help?

All. My girlfriend is a single mother in CA attending college. She recieves financial assistance and childcare. She will not be finished college until 2010. We would like to marry but are worried about loosing financial aid. If we get married will aid be lost instantly? Will we be assessed under joint income straight away? Is there anyway we can marry without impacting aid. Thanks. P.

I've attended 3 different colleges and have lost records of my loans. Is there a way I can find out where I owe without having to contact through the school? I've tried Next Student, but they've told me to find out how much I have in private loans which has become a complete mess. Any suggestions?

A little confused on how private loan interest works. I need a 22,000 dollars loan with an interest rate around %8. If i do full deferment will I get a bigger bill every month after grad? or is it better to do interest only payment while in school, so i can pay my interest off earlier?

Hi I realise this may be a tough question but I graduated last year from university in England and have since emigrated to the USA. How do I arrange to pay back my student loan, or If I never how long until the debt is cleared etc. Anyone have any information, ideally I would like to just pay it off so it isn't hanging over my head should I ever wish to return to the UK.

Cheers

David

My roommate qualified for financial aid from our local community college and he's going to get loans. However, he needs a cosigner and has no one to help him out with it. What can he do for money so he can go to school? He says if he can't get in this year that he's just not going to go to school.

I attended university courses in the spring, (did well) and recieved financial aid and a pell grant. I was a full time student.

This summer, I had registered for the second summer session classes, but didn't end up attending. I withdrew from my courses, with a 25% tuition penalty, which I haven't paid yet.

I went to go pay what I expected would be the 25% tuition penalties, so that I could register for fall classes, and found that I had not been charged the 25% fees, but for some reason my pell grant for $2025 has been reversed. The grant was awarded with my spring financial aid, and I can't imagine why it would get reversed for dropping summer courses. I'm waiting to hear back from the financial aid office, but in the mean time, I'm freaking out! (I don't have $2000!) This could end up being some sort of mishap or glitch within the school's financial aid system, but I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this in the mean time...

Thanks in advance

FAFSA only give me $680.if I take 12 credit hours. I need real help on grants. My credit is not good due to past medical problems so getting loans is out of the question.
