Three guys go into a restaurant and have a meal. They get a bill for £30. They hand over £10 each and when the waiter takes it he realises that in fact the bill should only have been £25. He thinks well to hell with them they didn't leave a tip so he tells them they are due some change and gives them one pound back each and sticks two pounds in his pocket.

Therefore each guy paid a tenner and got £1 back paying therefore £9 each. Three times 9 is £27. The waiter had two pounds in his pocket making £29. so what happened to the other pound?

The financial aid department at my university took away government aid as I recieved private scholarships. Is this legal? they also took away school sponsored scholarships that were based on grades, class rank and ACT score. Can they do this? They've taken away thousands of dollars in much needed funding.

I am about to be a senior this Fall school year!
Somebody told me i should apply for scholarships over the summer!
Someone else claim i should in the Fall!
Someone else claim i can' really, until i get accepted into college!

I keep getting mails from NSL Direct Loan and they keep sending me letters about how the interest is going to go up and they are telling me to apply for some application that i don't even know.. I guess if I apply, the interest rate won't go up? i don't know... does anyone get these mailings too? are they trustworthy to apply them? also, these are the current loans i get:

Hey, ahhhh...we're just migrate here in US and i'm 18 years old and i have a problem with my english, like pronounciation, grammar, and specially spelling...I tried to read a books, watching DVD movies with subtitles, and reading some novels...but nothing happens...feels like i'm a loser person in this world, i'm just worry for my future, I realy want to learn in english!...i'm a high school graduate in our far away country...and in august i'm planning to take automotive course..until now still i'm worry, because of those english people in the campus, i cant speak well in english and i have no self confident to myself..i don't no, i just want to go back to my country and have a college there but i have no time to go back there!,,so...i have no idea maybe i should take automotive course here in US!but my english is very weird!..Do i need to take english class before i well proceed to my course?....I really need your advise people....i think i'm lost now....God help me..What will i do?

In order to obtain a student loan, banks have to have an agreement with the particular school, but the problem is I'm going through a non profit organization, so I'm not able to obtain a loan through that. Should I just take out a personal loan? I'd really appreciate it if someone could help.
