There are some situations: you'll ought to teach you moved to stated state for motives except attending college, you'll might want to be a contributing member of state income tax-paying society. Having a drivers license, beginning a monetary company account, renting an domicile/resources, and having acquaintances there skill no longer something.

I would expect that as long as your permanent address is in the state then you'd be in the clear for any extra fees. To be sure I'd contact the school you are planning on attending, they should have all the information for you regarding any extra fees.

Most states are 6 months, but that does not count if you are living in a dorm or your parents claim you n their taxes. You have to have your own place, drivers licens, and car registered in that state. Its called proof of residency.

Go to DMV and change your drivers license to that state. Usually it is 6 months for residency.
