so im a junior in high school and im kind of stressing about figureing what college to go to. im from louisiana and i dont really want to go to LSU, i love LSU but everyone goes there and i just want to be out of baton rouge. i really want to be a makeup artist and maybe do like models makeup or brodway makeup i just wouldnt know like, what to major in. ive heard cosmetology but isnt that mainly hair? i also want to be a graphic designer and i just don't know what would be a good school for me or anything, i dont really get how college works i guess? i just need some advice, i dont really have much to look up to..

Hi all,

I am falling too far behind on my college work and think I am going to fail the year..... would it be wise for me to drop out ? and if so would that have a negative affect on me going back to college next year ?

Could/would I have to pay back the bursary ?

would this go against me getting a bursary next year ?

any other info ?

has anyone here ever dropped out of college....

(I have started receiving my bursary but would be willing to some how pay the payments received back)

any advice ?

Why is Cartagena misspelled in the summary of "Love In The Time of Cholera"? Why did they spell it with the "enye" (or the second "n" in the spanish alphabet)? Is this someone's idea of a translation? Proper nouns have no translations so -Hey Yahoo Movies, Juan is Juan not John. Maria is Maria not Mary. Cartagena is just that - Cartagena.

I got a 2290 on the SATs (1540 on SATs 1600), my GPA is 4.75. Both my parents work there, and my sister graduated from Columbia (which I am told is an advantage. I have done high school soccer all 4 years, and volleyball for 3. I was on varsity for senior year for both sports. I tutor after school. Does anyone know what my chances are for getting into Columbia?

I am in college still and my hubby lost his job, so is wanting to finish up his degree. It's just the 2 of us, no kids and I am the only one working right now. His EFC value was 7843...will he qualify for anything besides student loans? We want his to qualify for financial aid or pell grants....is his EFC too much?

I have wanted to go to West Point since I was six years old, but I am considered underweight. I have a 4.21 GPA, I am a freshman in high school, and have participated in numerous sports (basketball, soccer, dance, fencing, judo, yoga, and softball) many clubs (drama, Spanish club, forensics, literary magazine, computer club, bowling club, and thespian competitions) I have also had many leadership opportunities such as girl scouts, and student government. I know I am a well-rounded student who can probably get in, but I need to know what other requirements there are. This has been my dream for years, as I want to be a career servicewoman.
