it means " no matter how insignificant this may seem..." or "regardless of the consquences..." For instance, " I have been sick with the flu. Nevertheless, I'm going to the concert tonight even though I feel like crud."

None the less, as far as I know, means the same thing as "nevertheless".

It is a formal word.You use nevertheless when saying something that contrasts with what has just been said. Eg. Although the market has been flattened,residential properties costs remain high. Nevertheless,the fall off in demand has had an impact on resale values. `
