I got a 2290 on the SATs (1540 on SATs 1600), my GPA is 4.75. Both my parents work there, and my sister graduated from Columbia (which I am told is an advantage. I have done high school soccer all 4 years, and volleyball for 3. I was on varsity for senior year for both sports. I tutor after school. Does anyone know what my chances are for getting into Columbia?

I am number 3 in my class of 350 (my class is dumb though).

With those stats, you will certainly get into some great schools. You are qualified to get into Columbia. For top tier schools, being qualified isn't usually enough -- as they reject more qualified applicants than they accept.

The connections that you already have will be a plus -- so in your case, I think your chances are good.

There is one thing that concerns me. Your comments about your classmates indicate that you are not yet mature enough to go to college. Drop the attitude and grow up.
