Hes in special educaiton and has several medical problems. He is also mentally handicapped and physically handicapped. Since he began school 5 years ago they have always came to my moms house and picked him up without incident. This school year, they are asking him to walk to the end of the block and cross busy street to catch bus. There are no bss monitors out here or anything. Does this sound right? Is there any rights for handicapped children in california?

Based on the US news and ranking, I noticed under the National-Doc that there isn't a tier 2 section. I am somehow presuming that its those that rank 51 to 124? I notice that the 2nd tier is clearly defined under liberal arts and bachelor.

So which schools are the best for a premed major and have the highest percentage of acceptance to medical school (I'm talking top medical schools like harvard etc.)? I heard somewhere once that places like princeton have a higher grade inflation than lets say mit so more students get into medical school without killing themselves as much (even tho im sure we have to kill ourselves either way). And what would I have to do/have to get into them?

OK. I graduated from High School in Brooklyn last year then I moved away with my boyfriend to Kentucky. Now that my boyfriend and I broke up, I'm back in brooklyn and trying to enroll in Long Island University. The only thing is, I misplaced my High School Diploma. I've searched everywhere and I can't find it. Does any one know how I can get a duplicate of my high school diploma?

Especially for transferring to a UC. Do they require you have a bachelors first or can you simply take the core requirements then transfer into a Masters/PHD program?

Let's say, Hypothetically:

During mt Junior year of high school, i achieve a GPA less than or equal to a 2.0

However, during my Senior year, i kick it into high gear and achieve a GPA of 3.0+

What are my chances of getting into a four year college (Namely a UC or CSU college).

Other requirements (SAT reasoning and subject, essay, interview, transcript, etc) are met.

How did my friend with a perfect GPA and SAT score get rejected from Yale, but my friend with a 3.6 GPA and 2100/2400 SAT score get accepted?
Both pretty much did the same thing when it came to extracurriculars, and community involvement. And they both applied last year.

The first 6 people to post ONE phrase that they would like to have listed, will have their phrase listed. ( IT MUST BEGIN WITH THE LETTER ► " I " ◄)
So instead of me making up the phrases.....YOU have a hand in it!!!!
Confused??? You'll see...... It's really quite simple....
After I see the first 6 phrases, I will LIST THEM IN THE ADDED DETAILS....THEN,GO BACK TO MY QUESTION , LOOK AT THE PHRASES AND WRITE A LITTLE STORY THAT MUST INCLUDE THOSE 6 PHRASES.
P.S. I WILL NOT ACCEPT BATHROOM HUMOR OR PROFANITY.
If you are not one of the first 6 responders, you are still invited to write a story and compete. ◄◄ Good luck and have FUN~~~~~~~~~

Philosophy is a part of my life, it's who I am, and I love it, and would love to pursue it in college as my major and earn a doctorate.

For a job, I want to do something directly involving philosophy, primarily as a college professor or writer, although I am open to other suggestions.

My main concern, would be financially. Writers have it hard just as writers, especially when first starting out to get published and read. To teach at a College, I would need my doctorate, but to get that, I need money to pay through tuition and living expenses. Although, I don't need a lot of money, I live a frugal life.

Would I have to accept a general job that requires simply a bachelors degree? I have a slight interest in computers as a programmer, but I am self-taught.

Hello! :] I'm finishing up a summer project for one of the courses I'll be taking this semester, and I was wondering, what are some coming of age ceremonies? I need at least seven.

(That doesn't mean each person who answers needs to list seven, either. :] )

Please, and thank you very much!

What i a fractured sentence? Example Below.

"Go against the grain," and re-word it, or 'fracture' it. You may come up with: "Move in opposition to the wood's texture."

Can you do the same with these?

1. Understand the cords!
2. Final drinking tube.
3. Oily ladle.
4. Peruse words below one line but above another.
5. Scissor something from its place.

Any help as to how to formulate a "letter of intent" for a distance learning graduate program (namely a master's program in library and informational sciences)? I don't need anyone to write anything for me. I just need some help and some pointers to get me in the right direction. I'm not used to writing admission essays.

I know to keep it short and sweet (one page). Should it be double-spaced, 500 words or so? The website for the admissions wasn't specific other than for us to write a "letter of intent" as to why we want to enroll in the program.
