I'm 23 & have been out of high school for 5 years now.. but I'm starting back this fall to be a RN. I have some pre-req's ot get out of the way this semester before I start nursing school.. but here's my question.. I've been out for so long, & I've never been to college so I'm not sure how this all works.. What all supplies do I need? What do I bring with me the first day? What kind of clothes do I wear.. I know that's silly.. but is it like high school when everyone is wearing everything new? What will my first day be like? Just mainly taking notes? Please help me...

If I look up "consolidate" in Encarta Dictionary. There is a small history or origins related to the word. Like the following:
[Early 16th century. < Latin consolidat-, past participle of consolidare "make solid" < solidus "firm, whole"]
What does the < mean?

My husband and I will both be entering the education field shortly. We currently live in Florida, but with rising home and insurance cost we are afraid we won't be able to stay. Not to mention homeowners insurance. Teachers here make about 6000.00 below the national average, and health insurance is expensive.

Can anyone tell us about some great school districts. We are open to any place in the U.S. Oh, and somewhere with some diversity (the more the better).

i sent in my HS transcript which had grades from freshman to senior first semester, with that i got accepted into St.Johns University. Because everything was done and all i started slacking off badly and ened up with a 70 average and even had to go to summer school. I didn't tell stjohns about this and i paid my tuition and everything. And now i got a letter saying that wanted my final transcript and my graduation date, so now i have this horrible average and im not even graduating on time, i will be graduating on august. If send in this horrible paper will they maybe cancel my fall term?

I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA, 4.6 weighted, and an SAT score of 2250. I've volunteered at different places, and I have over 300 community service hours. I was in the national honor society, and these are the things I've done for leadership: I've helped teach at a science museum, and I've also done the NSLC (national student leadership conference)
I was also an intern in a laboratory. I've taken swimming lessons for 3 years, dance for 10 years, singing for 3 years, and I was involved in about 3 clubs in high school. I was also a finalist twice for a vocab bee when in middle school, and I won first place in singing, once.

I know colleges are always looking for unique qualities in an individual, and I think these are the most unique things I've done: Since I have a passion for dance, and I've organized a teaching program and my friends and I have taught children to dance, and later we donated the money. I also helped organize a town clean-up, and my friends and I helped clean up.
