My mother has recently told me that she hates my personality and thinks I'm a loser. This was followed, quite abruptly, with her declaring she will NOT help me in any way whatsoever with college. She earns 190,000 a year, so financial aid is limited. I am sure that from an objective point-of-view, I am far from a failure. I have a 3.98 GPA, have consistently taken AP and Honors classes, am in NHS, am Editor-in-Chief of newspaper, am President of my high school’s Amnesty International, VP of Model UN, President of Lit. Club, Secretary of Key Club, play Varsity Lacrosse, and have continuously made trips back to China in order to promote awareness regarding the social stratification that exists there.

This whole thing was quite sudden and I just finished junior year. I don't have any means to really recover.

Any advice on how, exactly, to manage myself would be appreciated.

Btw, I have no contact w/my biological father, who is somewhere in China.

i really messed up..i mean really this pass year and my average went down...from a 3.0...i have one year of high school left which is my senior year..i heard its not really gonna matter to colleges n e way...i got a 1590 on the first try on my SAT..and i score about 85% + on all my regents....can i get accepted to ANY 4 year college? what can i do...help please

Im a junior at high school. My freshman year I did pretty bad, I got only c's. My sophmore year I got all A's and B's and in math was my only C. I been studing and working really hard since my freshman year and contunie to work hard for good grades. I think my gpa as a sophmore was 3.1. If I got the same grades at my sophmore year all through high and recieved a 2.5-3.5 gpa can I still go to college? Just a decent college. I really want to go. Will getting a C in highschool and my poor fresman year stop me from going? Please answer!

Im also taking medical classes and foreign langauge credits in high school

I am graduating soon from college. Should I include my associates degree on my resume or just my bachelors degree?? The honor society I am including on my resume is from the college I received my associates from and my GPA is a little better there.

I got accepted to Baylor (Honors Program). I seemed destined to be a Baylor Bear, when all of a sudden Cornell calls and says I have been removed from the wait list to the entering class of 2011. I know on paper Cornell would be a no-brainer, but here is where it becomes complicated.

Baylor has offered to pay for tuition through a combination of scholarships and grants. Cornell has yet to send out their financial aid report. Baylor is closer to home ( I live in Corpus Christi, TX) and has accepted me to the honors program. Cornell is in Ithaca. Enough said.

My question is, assuming that Cornell offers a financial aid package similar to Baylor's, is it worth going. If not, do I take money into consideration and go with the cheaper school. How important is undergraduate school anyways?

Here you can finish high school in Year 10, and get A certificate,or finish in year 12- where you can go on to higher education, I finished in year 10
